Asmir Begovic’s error saw Chelsea record a narrow 2-1 win over Stoke City at home and edge towards the Premier League title.
The keeper was in fine form before then, keeping the hosts at bay. However, he could not keep out Eden Hazard’s cool penalty that gave the Blues a 1-0 lead.
Shortly before the break, Charlie Adam pinged in a sensational 65-yard effort, which left Thibaut Courtois stranded. Hazard then latched onto Begovic’s misplaced throw-out, to set up Loic Remy for the winner.

Manchester United beat Aston Villa 3-1 at home, while Queens Park Rangers recorded a stunning 4-1 away win at West Brom.Everton continued their impressive return to form, with a 1-0 victory over Southampton, Bafetimbi Gomis scored a brace as Swansea sunk 10-man Hull 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium, while Leicester City breathed life into their relegation battle with a 2-1 win over West Ham.
