Nigerian multinational telecommunications company, Globacom (GLO), has launched a mobile educational app, Glo Mobile Tutor, for Primary and Secondary school students.
Glo Mobile Tutor, designed to help students prepare for examinations, contains mock tests, assignments and lectures on the full Junior and Secondary School curricula.
The the Sales Director, Glo1 Enterprise, Bolanle Ogundogba, who spoke at the launch said the app is in line with the company's commitment to supporting Nigerian education.
She said Globacom’s will continue to support education and encouraged parents and guardians to avail their children and wards of this laudable technology with its pocket-friendly tariffs and rates.
“Globacom is committed to the development and education of the Nigerian child," Ogundogba said.
"The Glo Mobile Tutor provides instant knowledge and puts the power of education within the reach of every child in all the 774 local government areas of Nigeria.”
To enjoy the service, subscribers are to text EDUW to 4244 at N75 weekly, or EDUM to 4244 at N150 monthly.
The Glo Mobile Tutor includes, lecture notes, multimedia resources, assignments, timed examinations as well as a 'counselling' sections.
It is aimed at making learning easy and convenient for primary and secondary school students.
