- The super eagles of Nigeria have dropped five places to 42nd on the latest ranking released by world’s football governing body, Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
Nigeria dropped following recent dismal performances which saw the team lose to Sudan and Congo in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, leading to the sack of head coach, Stephen Keshi.
Nigeria is ranked behing Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Ghana, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Egypt and Senegal in the African ranking
Germany remains number one, followed by Argentina and Colombia who occupy number two and three spots.
