Abba noted that the Nigerian Police Force has benefited immensely from trainings offered by the British Government in areas of capacity building and development, community policing and other core policing techniques.
In a speech, Dr. Pocock stated that he was at the Force Headquarters to congratulate the IGP on his new appointment and express the wish that in view of the security challenges experienced in Nigeria, there is a need not for just continuation but for improvement on the existing ties between Britain and the Nigerian Police Force.
Ensuring that Nigeria has an effective, well-trained and well-equipped police force is a crucial part of the President's efforts to keep Nigeria moving forward.
