Happy Easter Sunday 2020! Songs, messages and quotes to celebrate with family, friends and loved once

Today is Easter Sunday – and although it’s usually a day for celebrations and meetings (not to mention a lot of chocolate), this year’s Easter looks a bit different after the coronavirus pandemic
Because Britain is still closed, ordinary family gatherings are not available, while services have also moved to the internet, and egg hunts move to the back garden.

This does not mean, however, that people cannot mark the day in a different way, and listening to Easter music and sharing greetings online can still take place.
Here are some suggestions on what you might want to listen to and how to greet others celebrating the festival.

The best Easter songs

According to Praise Charts, these are the top five songs for Easter 2020:
Christ our hope in life and death (Matt Papa, Keith Getty, Krystyn Getty)

Easter messages and quotes

#HappyEaster Sunday from Ravilious. Today, many of us look through the glass blind into the blurred world, but just as Eric painted this morning years ago, the sun will come back to our lives. Cultivate everything you have, live well and enjoy Easter. pic.twitter.com/WVGVFyTbpw

He lives!
Jesus rised from the dead!
The grave is empty.
Death has been defeated.
There is life after death.
There is hope for the world.
And Jesus is with you today!

#HappyEaster Sunday for all of you: the kind we never knew. The old world seems like this, but around us we can still see goodness, kindness, and bright days will return under the sun. Caring for those we love has never been so important. pic.twitter.com/CTVlkGDKRF
