Manchester City and Manchester United enter the season as the favorites with Leicester City a longshot on the odds to win the Premier League.

Leicester City stunned the sports world last season with an unlikely Premier League title coming off a 23-3-12 campaign. The Foxes will try to follow up that dream campaign with another strong run in the Premier League this season.

However, last season's champions are going off as longshots at +3000 on the odds to win the Premier League title again in 2016-17 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. After much speculation that Leicester City would get a lot of its talent poached this offseason, the club was actually able to keep its core together, including leading scorer Jamie Vardy's decision to turn down a move to Arsenal.

Still, even after winning the championship last year, this group is being given better odds of being relegated at +2500 than of winning again.

According to the betting board, this year's Premier League title could come down to the Manchester Derby, with Manchester City (+250 to win the Premier League) and Manchester United (+300) going off as the favorites to sit atop the table at season's end.

Manchester City finished outside of the top two for the first time since 2010-11 last season, ending the year in fourth place with a disappointing 19-10-9 record. The club retooled this offseason, bringing in new manager Pep Guardiola, midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and Spanish winger Nolito.

The season's success will likely hinge on how quickly the club is able to adapt to Guardiola's system, but this team has too much firepower to not be in the hunt.

Manchester United turns the page on the disastrous Louis van Gaal era with the hiring of former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. United also made headlines with its acquisition of Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who -- alongside fellow newcomers Henrikh Mkhitaryan and defender Eric Bailly -- make an elite roster of talent even stronger.

Other teams expected to be in contention for the title on the Premier League betting lines this season include Chelsea (+550), Arsenal (+650), Liverpool (+800) and Tottenham Hotspur (+800).

After finishing in second place on the table last year, Arsenal hopes that the addition of Granit Xhaka to the midfield can provide the club with some grit and leadership to help push it over the top.
