Flying Eagles defeat Senegal to win African Youth Championship

Bernard Bulbwa’s wonder strike, was all the Flying Eagles needed to win the 20th edition of the African U-20 Championship.

The Nigerians faced hosts Senegal at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor in Dakar on Sundaynight, looking to clinch their 7th title.

It was a keenly contested game, with the Senegalese eager to make their mark on home soil, but it was Manu Garba’s men who were decisive enough to clinch gold.

The Flying Eagles will now play five-time champions Brazil, Hungary and Korea DPR in Group E of the 2015 FIFA World Youth Championship in New Zealand.
