As Anambra State prepares for Nov 6 election…

BE THANKFUL

BEING-THANKFUL-2.
Psalm 92:1 ‘It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises [with musical accompaniment]to your name, O Most High’ [Amplified]
“Count your blessings” isn’t a clichĂ© that is used to make you feel good, but a word of encouragement to make you realise that there are more than enough reasons why you should be happy and thankful. Take a minute to stop thinking of the bad or wrong things going on in your life and write down the good things in your life.

You may say “well I’m going through a hard time right now, so I can’t be happy”. Even when you don’t know where the next meal is coming from, you can still rejoice. Philippians 4:4 didn’t suggest, but instructed us to Rejoice in the Lord alway; and again I say, Rejoice” The Lord will not give you an instruction when he knows you can’t accomplish it.  When He told you rejoice always, He knew you could do it, so rejoice.
Paul and Silas could have been the saddest people on earth when they were imprisoned after being accused falsely. Instead they rejoiced: singing praises unto God in their prison cell. Though their hands and feet were chained, they sang aloud, such that the other prisoners heard them. Guess what? A miracle happened! “Suddenly” the bible says “there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s bands were loosed.”(Acts 16:26)
When you praise Him miracles will certainly happen! Take time to thank God today for what He has done and what He will do.
“The living, the living—they shall thank and praise You, as I do this day; the father shall make known to the children Your faithfulness and Your truth” Isaiah 38:19.
