Why 'The Queen Latifah Show' Was Canceled

This isn't a good time for lovers of 'The Queen Latifah Show'. That because the show which is currently in its second season was canceled due to drop in ratings.
Variety reports that the show will shut down production at the end of the year and original episodes of the syndicated daytime talk show will air through March.

According to report, the show is expected to end with the second season, in order to give opportunity for new shows to come up on the station.
“Queen Latifah” was not expected to make it to a third season, given the show’s uphill battle in the ratings. Making the decision now gives station affiliates more time to line up new shows for next fall. The news comes as top syndie disturbs are firming up fall 2015 launch plans in preparation for January’s NATPE confab in Miami.
After producers at Sony Picture Television announced their disengagement, Queen Latifah also announced the sad news on her Facebook, thanking all fans of the show.

“We want to thank Dana, the producers and the entire staff of ‘The Queen Latifah Show’ for creating a program that we are all very proud of,” producers at Sony Pictures Television said in a statement,
referring to Latifah’s given name of Dana Owens. “Thank you also to our terrific station partners and advertisers who supported the show.”
