Soldiers dislodge Boko Haram insurgents in Chibok

State of emergency in three states of NigeriaSoldiers of the 7 Division Nigeria Army yesterday reclaimed the town of Chibok in Borno State, from Boko Haram insurgents.
Leadership Newspaper quoted villagers as saying that a large deployment of soldiers were seen moving in from the direction of Damboa on Saturday morning.
“We saw large number of trucks filled with uniformed personnel moving towards Chibok”, a source said.
The source said they continued to hear sounds of gun shots and explosion echoing in from the direction of Chibok.
A top military source confirmed that the sect was dislodged by troops.
“We have taken back Chibok town from the insurgents after some few hours of engagement with them.
