The abduction now surfacing is believed to have occurred in recent days, between Thursday of last week, and Sunday just past.
The whole village was destroyed and burnt to the ground, and about 30 men were killed in what appears to be an intense firefight with assailants.
The Council Chairman of the area, Alamin Mohd, could not be reached by telephone, but his secretary, Modu Mustapha, said he was not authorized to speak on the case, as high level police and military personnel are said to now be in the area. They are reportedly sifting through the rubble where the village once stood.
