… Targets N5trn Manufacturing Revenue Annually

President Goodluck Jonathan Tuesday launched the Nigeria Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP), and  National Enterprise Development Programme (NEDP).

The goal of ‎ Nigeria Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP),  according to Jonathan, was to increase the contribution of manufacturing sector to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from the present 4 per cent to more 10 per cent over the next five years. 

He equally disclosed that it  would  bring the annual revenue end by Nigerian manufacturers by up to N5 trillion per annum.

Anti - Gay Law: US Puts Pressure on Nigeria to Change Stance

The international heat generated by the signing of the anti-gay marriage bill into law by President Goodluck Jonathan has refused to abate as the United States has continued to put  pressure on the country to change its position.
The US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield revealed this during a live-web chat with journalists Tuesday.
Thomas-Greenfield explained that the  US is concerned about discrimination to anyone on basis of sexual orientation.
